Funk 2K – Saturday night!

Funk 2k were formed in the year 2000, after a group of musicians entered a battle of the bands competition (which they won). Just before they went on stage they were asked for their name, to which there was no reply. The host asked what music they played, “funk, soul, disco’ they responded; “OK,  it’s the year 2000, so you’re called Funk 2000” he replied and Funk 2k were officially born.

Writtle Jazz Festival

After a break in 2024, we are returning to a new bigger venue on Roxwell Road in Writtle –  ‘Old Chelmsfordian’s’!

With its own bar, and indoor performance hall hosting amateur, up and coming Jazz bands, we will have three stages including the two usual traditional marquees featuring a plethora of professional bands.
